“They are seen, they are heard, and they are felt.”
Shedeur Sanders
Shedeur Sanders chose two East Cleveland schools for a day of giving back, on purpose. “You only see the negativity about parts of East Cleveland,” he said. He came to show the other side.
Students left with gifts signed “Be Legendary” and a message to keep showing up: great attendance, keep going.
East Cleveland’s young people are seen. They are heard. They are felt.
Transcript
Shedeur Sanders: [I] chose two schools in East Cleveland because I like going to, um, different places a lot of people wouldn’t go, and, um, showing the positive side of things. ‘Cause if you just look online and stuff, you only see the negativity about parts of East Cleveland and different parts of Cleveland.
Narrator: The day of giving back. Not just supporting the kids’ desire to be in school with items, but with memories they won’t soon forget. He wrote “Be Legendary.”
Shedeur Sanders: The school year started, but you maybe — they needed a little bit more motivation to keep you having great attendance and keep going. I just wanted to, uh, give them a reminder that they are seen, they are heard, and they are felt.
